These areas are going to be prone to receiving even more grime as the day goes on, and a stained carpet is one of the first things your customers are going to notice. While you can’t completely prevent these areas from being soiled, you can work to prevent excessive stains from forming. Vacuuming, spot treatments, and regular professional cleanings are just some of the ways you can keep these high traffic areas clean.

Make Sure Greeting Mats are Cleaned Regularly

Greeting mats are meant to prevent dirt and grime from entering your office, but that doesn’t mean you should completely ignore them once they are set up. Entrance mats do a great job at trapping dirt, but it can also turn into an unwelcome accessory to your business if you don’t clean it regularly. If you’re especially concerned about employees and customers dragging in mud and dirt, consider adding an exterior and interior mat at your office lobby door for double protection. But again, make sure that you take the time to clean these mats regularly and thoroughly.

Dusting is one of the most important aspects of keeping an office lobby clean, but most people tend to ignore its importance. It might not seem that dusting will do a whole lot for your lobby, but it can have a much bigger impact than you realize.
